Born in South Korea, Kevin Immigrated to the US at age 13. He attended San Jose State University, where he studied Industrial Design. After two years, he felt compelled to serve his country and enlisted as an Infantryman in the United States Army. Early in his career, he served as a driver for a Battalion Command Sergeant Major in South Korea, Infantry Team Leader and Squad Leader. He then decided to pursue his goal of becoming a Special Agent with the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID).

After Kevin’s investigative time in CID, he was hand selected to serve as Mission Special Agent in Charge (of protection) to the Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Admiral Mullen and General Cartwright. Later, he was selected to attend Warrant Officer Candidate School. Upon graduation, he served as an Assistant Team Chief and Team Chief for the Drug Suppression Team where he supervised over 700 felony level investigations and led various semi-covert operations. During this time, he volunteered to deploy to Afghanistan as a Special Agent in Charge of a forward operating base CID office.

Returning to South Korea in 2014 as a Detachment Commander/Personal Security Officer to the Commander, United Nations Command/United States Forces Korea, he led a 20 man team to provide personal protection to the Commander. He was then selected to lead the Security Service Detachment to the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe/U.S. European Commander, Belgium, where he led 20 Protective Service Agents, 25 Residential Security Agents and 5 Administrative Support Agents to execute worldwide personal security operations. He completed over 800 protective service missions in 52 countries.

Concluding his military service, he returned to South Korea to lead the Protective Service Detachment to the United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea, where he retired.

Kevin has been married for 15 years to his beautiful wife Sue-Yeon and has two amazing children, Gianna (14) and Julius (12).
